High school shop programs are suffering from lack of funding across North America. Pistonhead Productions has decided to do something to help their local high school’s shop program by doing this “stunt” build. They have a donated NA Miata and a donated Cummins diesel engine, and plan to combine the two during an intense 48 hour wrench session in June. Then the car will be campaigned at drift competitions to raise even more awareness of the need for funding for shop programs for kids, and finally the car will be raffled off to raise even more money specifically for the program at Huntsville High School in Ontario, Canada.
MossMiata has donated a Performance Brake Kit and a 3-Point Shock Tower Brace by Cobalt to the project. If you would like to donate, check out their indiegogo page. You can also read more about the project in this article in Performance Tuner magazine.
